Aviation safety
Information on this site may be incomplete, outdated, incorrect, or submitted by third parties. STOL STOP is not an aeronautical information service and does not provide official charts, NOTAMs, weather, airport data, runway condition reports, or aircraft performance guidance. Always use current official sources and obtain any required landowner or aerodrome operator permission before flight.
Listings are shared by the community. A listing is not permission to land, park or camp, and a pin on the map is not a survey. Check the Canada Flight Supplement (CFS) and NOTAMs, get permission where it is required, and call ahead. Events can change or be cancelled, so confirm with the organizer. You remain responsible for your own flight planning and decisions. See official sources for planning.
Community content
Submit only accurate, lawful material you have permission to share. This includes any flyer or photo you send. Everything sent in through the listing form is reviewed by hand before it goes live, and private strips are never listed without the owner's permission. We may decline, edit or remove submissions. Publication is not an endorsement or certification of the safety or availability of any airstrip, campsite or event.
If you see something wrong, tell us through the listing form or the contact page and we will fix it.
Accounts and email
Membership is free and works with a code we email you, so keep access to your email private. You can change your preferences, unsubscribe from any email, or delete your account at your account. How we handle your information is explained in the privacy policy.
Links and outside services
STOL STOP links to and uses services run by others, such as Google Maps, calendar apps, event organizers' websites and airport pages. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content or availability.
