Wants vs needs
Adam's underwing camping gear list
The gear I take camping under the wing, grouped by system. Tick what you plan to pack.
Here is an outline of some of the gear I take with me while camping under wing. Your type of aircraft and climate will dictate your specific wants vs needs. I enjoy backpacking/portage trips, and much of that gear aligns with underwing camping ... with room for luxury!
I am not sponsored and all products were purchased with my own money.
Weight and balance matter. Your aircraft decides what actually fits, so treat this list as a menu, not a packing order. Check your weight and balance before you load up.
